Q: How does Birchcreek Retreat differ from other programs?
A: Our program is based on the scientific belief that the human body was created with the natural ability to heal itself, to prevent disease and to maintain its ideal weight. Unlike other non-traditional approaches to health which advocate the use of drugs, minerals, herbs or vitamins, the Birchcreek Health and Weight Loss Program teaches you what you can do to restore your body's natural abilities, based on the cause of physical problems, not symptoms.

At Birchcreek Health and Weight Loss Retreat we teach you a proven, proper, natural and gimmick-free lifestyle and dietary approach so that you can experience the abundant health and fitness you deserve.


Q: Do you have first floor rooms?
A: Yes. Please request a first floor room when making reservations.


Q: What types of people come to the Birchcreek Health and Weight Loss Retreat?
A: Our guests range from professional men and women, to single moms and couples, and come in all shapes and sizes. They all share a common desire to create a happier, healthier lifestyle for themselves and their families and to live a life free of chronic pain, disease, health concerns and weight problems. 


Q: Are there age or weight limits?
A: Our program is for those18 years and older, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. There are no restrictions based on weight, but guests must be independently mobile. 


Q: Do you accept pets?
A: Some Birchcreek Retreat locations accept pets. Please inquire when reserving.


Q: Will I have access to my e-mail during my stay?
A: High speed/wireless internet access is available at most of our locations. Please ask for more information when reserving.


Q: Will I need a car during my stay?
A: A car is not necessary during your stay. Shuttle service to and from local airports is available.


Q: Will I be able to keep up with the exercise program?
A: Guests will have an initial evaluation by Birchcreek staff to determine their fitness level. Our programs are varied to suit individual needs and abilities; activities are low impact and not strenuous. 


Q: Will my health insurance cover your program?
A: Although benefits vary widely from plan to plan, it is our experience that most health insurance plans do not reimburse for educational and preventative programs like ours.


Q: Is Birchcreek Retreat a health spa?
A: The emphasis at the Birchcreek Retreat is on safely and quickly losing weight, regaining optimum health and reversing and preventing disease. Although we offer some spa services such as therapeutic massage and Jacuzzi, the focus of your stay is on education in a relaxed and beautiful setting. Our program does not involve cosmetics or expensive treatments.


Q: Is there a physician on staff?
A: A Naturopathic doctor and an RN are on staff to consult with and serve our guests' immediate needs during their visit. Our guests are also free to consult with their own health care professionals during their stay at Birchcreek. We do not prescribe drugs, harmful herbs or change any prescription medications.


Q: Does the Birchcreek Retreat program work for everyone?
A: Yes. Everyone experiences dramatic increases in weight loss and fitness with the pure food diet and fitness plan that we offer.
